This is a very pretty tile, filled with charm of its own, would look lovely just leant against a backdrop wall to appreciate its detail. The floral appears to be a beautiful stylised peony with a ground of delicate foliage. A wonderfully rare design that I haven't come across before.
Due to the weight of these old tiles, they are only available to post within the UK.
I have these old hearth tiles everywhere, windowsills in a row, plant rests or just leant against a shelf or cupboard top like a painting.
15cm x 15cm
Approx 130 years old.
In general, this tile is in good structural condition for age, slight nibble to the corners.
