Last month I treated myself to a beautiful Victorian book

'Flowers and How To Paint Them' by Maud Naftel.

Published in 1886.

An absolute joy. This book was a gift to myself (doesn't happen often) but I just fell in love with the descriptions of how to layer washes and paint floral details that I plan to put this into practice.

The illustrations inside are just a delight and I thought it would be lovely to make copies of these for you to use within your journals, collages, slow stitching or projects of your own.

So here for you are a collection of florals arriving wrapped in a machine stitched paper wallet, each floral is printed onto a vintage cartridge paper that I have had here in the studio within my collection of found papers. The paper version is slightly gentler in tone than the versions available printed on organic cotton (see other listings).
The wallet is closed with a chiffon ribbon.

Each printed panel measures 13cm x 19cm and there are 10 in total. Each has been cut by hand so the edges are not perfectly machine straight.
