Old French 19th Century Curtain - "Cornflowers & Barley"
If you have been following my week on Instagram you would have seen that from my travels I have acquired a rather large collection of old French textiles. This design is the first to be listed, it is decorated with the prettiest of cornflowers and barley corsages laid across a ribbon design. The cotton is in good structural condition, just a few little holes when held to the light and it still has the curtain tape to the top so would dress a tall slim window beautifully. There's slight staining from natural light more than storage.
Just an idea - I have a series of 11 differing curtain lengths at my window in the living room that you can move and change to filter the light over the seasons.
This curtain is long and measures 240cm in length by 82cm in width. It has been first washed in the machine to check for strength and then further hand washed to freshen further.
There are smaller panels of this fabric for sale in this Shop Window collection.
