Old Oil Painting On Board - Garden Blooms

Sold Out

A floral delight....

A beautiful old oil painting on board that just captures such a beautiful floral arrangement of blooms from the garden.  What caught my eye is the gorgeous use of fresh pastels against a neutral ombre ground.  A vase of florals such as lilac, jasmine, roses, peony, lily blooms and friends.  This painting has been reclaimed from an old frame but to be honest I think this painting would feel captured within a frame.  The raw edges of the board allow the painting to marry with the colours of your wall.  Just lean against a cupboard top, on a mantle or a shelf allow it to shine.

I purchased this from an art specialist and although there is no date or signature the painting is dated early 1900's possibly late 1800's.  The painting has been produced onto a board, you can see from the photo there is a split in the back wood, this doesn't alter the structure of the painting at all.
The painting has been reclaimed from its original frame as it was damaged, you may choose to have it re-framed or just lean against a cupboard top in a quiet corner of your home.

The painting measures approx 51cm x 45.5cm
