A very pretty piece indeed. This is a hand made detailed cushion cover that has been made using sections of fine lace and edged with a double ribboned floral length and double lace frill border. The imperfection is that it is that the reverse back is made of silk and this has been a banquet for moths. I have left it in tact as I always love the delicate frayed details of these imperfections to use within artworks and such. The reverse just needs to be removed and a new back and pillow inserted. So a perfect project to ensure this beautiful piece continues its journey.
Approx 150 years old.
Measures 43cm from frill edge to frill edge and the main body measures 31cm in diameter.
