An exquisite piece. This is either a portrait of an actress or fashion photography for its time. The photograph has been produced onto a more fine hand made paper which has an impressed rounded border and signed by the artist. It appears to be Talbury or Talburg. Can't fully work out the signature.
The frame is exquisite in its detail and moulding, A vine of foliage repeated along each side and hand painted in gold. There's is some wear to the frame from its journey as expected. The frame suits the age of the photo but the mount, gold inlay and reverse suggests that this was further professionally mounted at some slightly later point, maybe mid century-80's. Unsure.
The frame measures approx 54cm x 44cm
