Vintage Oil Landscape Painting on Board - The Silhouettes

I purchased this painting because I loved how the trees appeared silhouetted and the tones are just wonderful. It reminds me of a couple of walks I did up to the tarns while in Coniston, where the layers of the landscape fade out into the distance. I have kept it here in the frame it arrived in. You may wish to paint it, remove it or keep it just as it is.
It is not signed or dated but appears to be 30 to 40 years old.
The frame measures 52cm x 42cm
