Old Canvas Paintings - "Where My Heart Lies"

£95.00

Two beautiful old canvases that are so gorgeous to 'read', where the artist has certainly illustrated all the details that were cherished around these two cottages. Really look closely within the photographs to see the details.

PAINTING ONE

A home that appears to be much loved.  It is the detailing that I love about this painting, there's a creeping flower growing on the roof, a cockerel is grazing by the row of foxgloves (painted with such a fine brush to achieve detailing), and there's a lady milking a cow to the left.  There is a lovely stillness to this painting, a sense of calm.  The painting is in good condition for age, just a small 1cm scratch to the surface near to the top and a small indented hole within the stems of the foxgloves.

There's a small metal ring to the centre top for hanging.

PAINTING TWO

Old oil painting on stretched canvas of an old white stoned cottage.  It is the detailing that I love about this painting, there's a row of flower pots (painted with a very fine brush) sat on a wall. a lady tending to blossom or a fruit tree and there is an ivy (or such) growing across the slated roof of the cottage.  There is a lovely stillness to this painting, a sense of calm.  The painting is in good condition for age, but there is a small area to the surface near to the top, a V shaped puncture(see photos).

There's a small metal ring to the centre top for hanging.

Both are signed, Kelsey Owen.  Painted in 1886,

Each measures 36cm x 25cm
