A wonderful, old hand coloured copperplate engraving titled Young Woman of Valais.
This print has been engraved by Georges Jacques Gatine from an illustration by Louis Marie Lante from a series detailing "Costumes of Various Countries". Printed in Paris, 1827.
These are rare prints and would have been placed in the book titled above.
Print measures 30cm x 22.5cm. It is sturdy enough to stand on a shelf or cupboard top or you may decide to have it framed. Due to its age there's marks etc from its journey. There are two small pressed indentations to the woman's right side measuring approx 2 and 3mm.
