A very beautiful floral still life oil painting that is delicate in tone. An array of varied pinks and mauves sit on a ground that moves from a dark mauve through to a pale cinnamon. An exquisite palette. Expressional but gentle.
The painting is in good condition for age. Oil on board.
The frame measures 42.5cm x 57cm x 3.5cm. It is in good condition and appears to have been re-backed later in its journey. The frame has been painted in an emulsion and the grey is warmer than it appears in the photographs.
Signed M Kirk, no date but appears to be approx 40-50 years old.
