Old Silk Whitework Sampler

A beautiful old silk sampler that is an exquisite example of drawn thread and whitework. I purchased this as a collection of samplers, some of the other samples in linen are within this collection too. This is an excellent technical sampler of its time.
The main panel measures 39cm x 21cm but it is folded in half in the photograph, the threadwork only appears on one side which measures 10.5cm x 2.5cm.
