A rather gorgeous patchwork panel that has been hand stitched using varied wonderful prints from the 1930's through to the 1970's. It was originally a top blanket but had worn at one end. So many printed textiles, each panel available is an archive in itself. Each hexagon side measures 5.5cm.
I like to imagine the conversations these panels have witnessed, the varied people it has had the pleasure of meeting and the story of the lady/family who invested so much time into this patchwork.

The panel has been laundered. The reverse is interesting too as you can see the hand stitched seam and reverse of each single print.
A beautiful panel to use within your own work or deconstruct and re-use the wonderful varied old patterned cotton fabrics.
The panel measures 45cm x 50cm, the length of each single hexagon panel measures 10.5/11cms
Fabrics are approx 50/90 years old.
