Old Silk Sampler Mat

A beautiful old silk sampler. I purchased this as a collection of samplers, some of the linen samples are within this collection too. This demonstrates applique lace decoratives surface mounted onto a satin silk with stitch onto a silk ground with looped piped edging. The reverse is a fine silk too.

The main panel measures 23cm x 13cm.
