Beautiful Old Framed Hand Embroidery

This is such an exquisite hand embroidery in such beautiful colours, lots of silk stitches on a fine linen ground. I have taken lots of photographs to aid the description. The frame is the original and has a date of 1956 and a title of The Country Cottage. I love the detail and how the composition takes your eye down the lane to the horizon of other cottages, fields and hills, the sky is beautifully depicted too. A perfect piece for someone who studies embroidery.
The frame is glazed and measures 44cm x 37.5cm
