A beautiful study typical of the late 1800's where bindweed was a very popular flower to appear in paintings and prints in the Art Nouveau period. Here it is married with what appears to be Campanula blue and a gentle bearded grass.
This has been reclaimed from its original frame at some point within its journey. The painting is in travelled condition. No signature or date. The colours are still gorgeously fresh.
