A detailed Victorian mat that has a wide heavy lace border edging that too has hand embroidery detailing along with couched stitching around the floral motifs. The centre is a panel of hand embroidery with silk stitching on a silk ground. There is a border of fine gold metal thread detailing all around the edge.
The flowers to the centre appear to be fuchsias.
Measures 42cm in width and 62cm in length.
Early 1900's.
