Beautiful Old Art Nouveau Earthenware Floral Serving Plate

Such a beauty.  The transfer design is in a base mid brown popular for its time and the colour of the florals has been applied by hand.  It has a faded hand painted gold edge to the outer rims of the scalloped plate.  Probably used as a dessert plate.

 

Good structural condition for age, just a couple of fine hairline fractures that are delicate and travel just an inch into the plate.

 

Heavy in weight.

Bowl measure 14.5cm in diameter x 6.5cm in height.
