Beautiful Old Watercolour - Bridge & Two Swans

This is such a gentle and detailed watercolour of two swans meeting on a lake. Everything about this painting is beautiful from the delicacy of the brushmarks, the fine detailing captured to illustrate the swans, the ornate bridge and the tones within the surrounding foliage.
The study is well travelled. All is the original but the backing paper is just about holding on to the edges and I have had to tape it with framers tape to keep the boards in place. You may choose to have it re-backed. The frame is glazed, the backing is wooden boards slatted boards. The original gold frame shows signs of a journey well travelled. It has the original rope hanger. There is foxing to the mount in areas.

Approx 110 years old.
