Mid Century Rose Bowl - Oil on Board

A pretty painting of roses in a bowl, beautiful palette in an expressional technique, popular for its time. The painting is signed Lila Walters, there is no date on the painting but I removed this oil from its original frame as the frame had broken and behind the backing board was a piece of faded newspaper that was dated 1958. Not only are the roses lovely but the colours blended in the background are gorgeous.
