A sweet folder made from a panel of old mid 1800's French printed cotton decorated with an embroidered wreath on cotton lawn, silk ribbon and lace and pin fastener. Inside is a double sided reclaimed paper page of hand crocheted samplers (dating to around 1880, with a few additional antique lace panels.
The inner page is reclaimed from an old sampler book that had come apart over the years.
The eiderdown is also from the late 1800's/very early 1900's.
Measures approx 16cm x 22cm when folded.
