I adore the silhouettes of these old Basalt teapots, especially when they arranged are in a collection. This teapot is from my private collection that I can no longer display in my kitchen since I have had a move around. There are four from my collection available in this Shop Window collection. This is a miniature single cup size.
This shows the typical linear/woven surface around the body.
Age - Mid 1800's.
It is in good condition for its age just one small nibble to the lip edge where the lids sits.,
Measures approx 13cm from spout to handle and 9cm in height.
Early Staffordshire/Wedgewood Potteries.
