Beautiful Hand Coloured Engraved Portraits

£58.00

Two beautiful engravings that have been hand coloured.  The engravings are so intricate in detail and what I particularly love is the way the portraits fade out portraying a feeling of pencilwork.  These engravings appear to be the work of Henry Thomas Ryall.

The plainer coloured portrait has a small area of damage that has been taped on the reverse, but it is well disguised and you have to take your eye close up to the study to sea it.

The mounts are clean and have gold around the inner edge of the aperture.

Mounts measure 35cm x 42cm.  They are sturdy enough to stand on a shelf or cupboard top or you may decide to have them re-framed.

Engravings are approx 150-170 years old.
