An exquisite hand embroidered floral length on what appears to be a silk wool blend. Reclaimed from a piece of clothing at some part of its journey. Lovely to add to an archive or repurpose into something rather beautiful.
The reverse is really interesting too - I always love the reverse of hand embroideries. When I used to embroider myself I loved to keep turning the piece over and stitching into the wrong side. The blend of varied stitches became exciting.
The base has quite a few wear and holes from its journey and storage but still strong to continue its path to become something new.....
Approx 1920's in age.
