Old frames in themselves are beautiful pieces of art. There frames decoratively tell a story that would have originally compliment the subject they were surrounding.
There is a preciousness to displaying a single frame on your mantle or shelf or just simply hanging on your wall. Over time you can add a simple piece of dried bracken or seed head to make a composition in the aperture of you can add candle light or stringed lights as a more elegant approach to the winter season.
This frame is in good structural condition for age. Just a knock to the aperture corner, to the right side and a few old worm holes that have been treated but have also been treated here in the studio.
Measures 35cm in height, 29cm in width and 4cm in depth.
This frame is particularly special it is early 1800's.
