I can't begin to tell you how beautiful this painting is and I hear that still life and fruit paintings are the new florals for the future interior trends.
The tones are perfect from the background to the gentle washes of light here and there. The oil painting is on stretched canvas and you simply just need a couple of small tacks/nails to hand it in place. This is one of those paintings that is restricted if framed. Sometimes the hard lines of a frame can alter the mood of a painting.
Signed B Shepherd but no date but the style is very late 1800's early 1900's.
The canvas has a few marks from its journey as expected and a couple of very slight indentations which awake more when you hold and move the painting, not really noticeable when in situ.
Measures 33cm x 76cm x 2cm.
