Exquisite Framed Watercolour - Silent Light
£68.00
Although I do not class myself to be a deeply religious person I do have a quiet relationship with churches. I can find myself sat for long periods of time just sat appreciating the stillness and precious light that travels through the stained glass to rest against the polished wood, Maybe it is their history but most importantly it is the sense of strong communities that used to take strength from these buildings.
This painting is beautiful it is quite decorative and appears to be a view within a cathedral than a church but then some churches in more affluent parts of the country may have had similar qualities. I am unsure of where the location is but the painting has been signed and dated 1908 in white paint to the bottom right corner.
It is in it's original gesso and gilt frame and measures 46.5cm x 59cm. There are knocks to the frame and mount here and there from its journey.
Please note that this painting is unglazed
Due to the size of the frame it will be posted as a large parcel with Parcel Force.
