Exquisite Hand Embroidered Silk Shawl - Flowers & Butterflies

This is an absolutely exquisite piece. Hand embroidered in silk on a silk base. The detailing of the design is just lovely, filled with meadow flowers and butterflies. The base silk has had a couple of visitors that has nibbled a few holes, but not bad considering it is silk and around 120 years old. I have taken a photo of one of the areas that has been mothed and the other is similar in size, where the larger hole measures approx 2cm x 0.5cm. Still in general good condition. There is a silk tassel finish to each end, these have tangled a little in places but nothing that a bit of patience won't solve.
The embroidery sits at both ends of the silk scarf
