Hand Painted Victorian Metal Plate - Papavers
Sold Out
These beautiful tin plates were very fashionable in the late 19th century to adorn the walls, a decorative development (or trend in today's terms) that moved strongly through the art nouveau period. This is an earlier example of just that. There is a slight mark to the main flower (see photos) but it doesn't alter the overall appearance too much. There is a hook hanger on the reverse at the to, the reverse is black and has rusted and flaked in areas.
Diameter is 30cm
Ready to hang.
