When I found this piece I was rather lucky. Right time right place for a change as there were a few people around me waiting to place this back on the table and walk away. But I successfully purchased it and brought it home. (there's another carving listed too in this collection of the Winter Stories).
Hand carved, not too sure the wood or age and origin but mid century in feel.
