Old Dry Plate with Linen Print - Pottering (No.9)

I acquired this dry plate negative that was found in a box with others. I wanted to see the image as a positive so I photographed the plate and then did a few tricks in Photoshop. I then printed this onto a sheet of transfer paper and applied the photographic image to an old piece of linen.
I am also including the original slide for free so you hold the complete story.
This collection of plate and linen is beautiful to just own, or the plate will look lovely resting against a window and allow natural light to bring it to life, the print would be lovely to be incorporated into a piece of work, either textile related or place into your journal or sketchbook. You may even choose to have framed.
If you need to iron the print at any time please place protection over the print. It has been produced using the old fashioned t-shirt printing process and has a film over it to trap the ink, therefore heat will make it stick. a lightweight handkerchief will be fine, if the image sticks then peal away from the surface while warm pulling with the grain of the fabric.
