A particularly beautiful old hand marbled book cover. A wonderful and rare example of hand marbling technique for its time. This is special because both sides have a marbling to them, it is rare to see the front cover marbled too.
Early 1800's but this maybe a little earlier. They are great as a general resource, a background for photographing smaller items, or to just display around the home on picture rails......or even to study the technique.
