I adore these old book covers purely for inspiration and the sense of history. The way the paper and marble has worn over years is exquisite. Only time and use can create such a beautiful patina.
They are always a privilege to study and own. I love to use them as base boards for styling and photography. They also look lovely leant on a shelf or mantle like a painting or as part of a still life.
This board measures 22cm x 27.5cm
Early 1800's (if not a little earlier).
Due to its size this board will travel as a large parcel.
