I see a few mill spools on my travels but they have to be pretty special for me to bring them back to the studio. This is very lovely indeed. Particularly because I love the way the wood has marked over the years and that the metal edging is still in lovely condition. This spool has actually had a candle rest fitted to the top so you can use as a candle holder if you desire. The base has been fitted with an under felt so it won't mark your table top.
