Gentleness and preciousness.. A re-introduction of This Hour of Mine. This time a little different.
Here in the studio I take great joy in mending and saving old boxes with care. They are re-lined (where needed) with beautiful old French and English cottons and at times some of the original silk lining has remained.
Here in the studio I take great joy in mending and saving old boxes with care. They are re-lined (where needed) with beautiful old French and English cottons and at times some of the original silk lining has remained.
Each box is thoughtfully considered and filled with keepsake pieces collected from my travels. Precious pieces of jewellery, beading, lace, ephemera, old textiles, decoratives and anything I think you will find an inspiration. Fragments from a time passed for you to re-love and enjoy and take small moments of time to appreciate and use as you wish.
Once the box is emptied you then have a lovely portable sewing box where you can use the lid for pins and needles and fill with a small project to take to the park or on holiday or simply to the bottom of the garden.
This box measures 19.5cm x 15cm x 2.5cm when closed.
