I adore these old book covers purely for inspiration. The way the paper and surface has worn over years to create this beautiful surface that only time and use delivers.
Always a privilege to study and own. I love to use them as base boards for styling and photography. They also look lovely leant on a shelf or mantle like a painting or as part of a still life.
This board measures 21.5cm x 14cm
Early 1800's.
I have two at time of listing as I have the front and the back cover, both are similar so the one you receive may not be exactly as the one in the photograph.
