Victorian Embroidered Silk Appliques - Collection 13

A precious and rare find.

A beautiful collection of embroidered late Victorian floral appliques.  I have done a little research on these pieces and not only were they used in costume and fashions of there time but they were also used within stitched artwork where the florals were stitched together to form a more three dimensional composition and presented in a dome style frame.
