Skein of Reclaimed Sari Silk Ribbon

Silk sari skeins consist of thin strips of saree silk material stitched or knotted together in 1 continuos length. Within this skein the length and width of the silk strips used vary, but there is approximately 25- 30 metres. The Silk Sari Ribbon arrives in varied off whites and creams and can be used for knitting, dyeing and projects. I occasionally use this to adorn decorations and wrap around presents. I also love to dye varied lengths to achieve varied colours. When I use these skeins I spend firstly a while at the ironing board, cutting down each piece that has been sewn or tied within the skein and ironing flat.
The width of the ribbon will vary from 3cm up to approx 5cm
