An absolutely gorgeous floral painting on glass. The glass has been painted on the reverse so the ground colour appears flat and then the floral painting is applied to the front surface of the glass. The florals are orchids with gorgeous foliage detail. The colours are exquisite. The frame is lovely Art Nouveau frame, popular for its time.
Good condition for age, just wear expected from its journey but very little, just a little paint has worn close to the ground near to the main orchid.. The frame is wooden with moulded floral edging. Painted in a dull gold that has worn back to a matt darkened finish. I think it is lovely but you may wish to re-paint the frame to suit your decor.

Approx 120 years old.
