This is a very lovely painting, it hasn't quite got the heaviness of oil, possibly gouache, the application and tones are just wonderful. A very skilled piece. This appears to be an old painting re-framed in a more traditional style moulded modern frame. The mount is a pale cream with a gold painted inner edge. The subject seems to be a mother and child waiting at a beach for their loved one to return from fishing. You can just see a fleet of fishing boats in the distance.
