A beautiful fragment of old hand embroidery detailing daisy like flowers and leaves
Exquisitely hand embroidered in silk with many laboured stitches. The base is a shot silk of a warm brown and a colour that is hard to capture within a photograph but it sits between a rust and terracotta with a very subtle hint of warm pink.

The base silk is very fragile so I would suggest preserving this piece behind glass within a frame. The irregular composition of the panel makes this piece appear even more precious.
Based on the style I would suggest that this panel sits between an age of late Georgian possibly early Victorian. But if you think I am wrong please do let me know.
The reverse is wonderful too.
The size of the panel is 17cm x 10cm at the longest and widest points.
