Beautiful Rare Sculptured Panel of Schiffli Linen Lace

An exquisite example of Schiffli lace, beautiful in design and detail and wonderful to just own to study and research and take inspiration. This intricate panel is made up of varied leaves and flowers but the particularly special detail is the series of sculptured flower heads that appear within the panel. I have taken lots of photographs as a visual description.
This particular piece is a banded sample that was carefully removed from a damaged dress panel. Produced any time between 1870/1890.
Very good condition for age just a few little marks and the odd reclaimed stitch.
The panel measures approx 24cm x 23cm at the widest and longest points when laid flat.
