A beautiful collection of woven silks that have been hand sewn together to form a decorative panel of 9 varied florals and finished with borders of embroidery stitches.. The history to these silk woven panels is that one would be originally given as a gift with a single packet of cigarettes and became a desirable for collectors which continues today.

I adore these sweet little panels that appear more like embroideries than weaves.

Dating 1930's. The reverse is also interesting too.

The panel measures 17cm x 14cm

The base fabrics and stitches are silk.
