Vintage Hina Doll (one)
Sold Out
A wonderful collectable vintage Hina doll, with lovely hand made detailing.
The history of vintage Hina dolls is deeply rooted in Japanese culture, with roots tracing backto the Heian period. These dolls were initially played with by aristocratic children and evolved into ritual objects during the Edo period. The tradition of displaying Hina dolls as guardians for daughters' good health and happiness began during Hinamatsuri, a festival celebrated on March 3rd. Over time, the dolls have become a symbol of hope and a protective force for young girls. Vintage Hina dolls are not just collectibles; they are heirloom pieces that carry the history and craftsmanship of Japan.
This is in good structural condition for age, just slight wear to the fabric in small places.
Measures 24cm in height.
